We have received both the Giant Leap Rocketry TAC-1 parachute and Kaymont Consolidated balloons!
The TAC-1 parachute looks very promising but we are currently planning to test its performance in low temperature conditions as we have a minor concern with material freezing and ice buildup during the ascend phase of the flight. If the chute freezes it might not unfold properly for the descend. If this proves to be true we might have to coat the chute with anti-freezing agent (Teflon?).
For the Kaymont balloons we have to implement a helium filling valves and fittings and possibly test them before the actual launch. We might even end up doing an entire test flight just to test the balloon filling procedure and lift.
We will publish an image gallery soon with pictures of the TAC-1 chute, Kaymont balloons and other equipment we have ready.
